I wasn’t used to being in the dark.
I was taught that when it gets dark come inside.
I looked at the nighttime from my bedroom window.
But when I got dropped off that night it was darker than ten
People were darker than night.
So I subconsciously looked for the light.
The light was what I know and I found it even through
It the darkest night Ive ever seen.
I stood in the light surveying the dark in full view.
There was no window to hide behind.
Just my eyes and the light wind that brushed my face.
The sound of people blending with the night.
Voices of mingling old and new friends.
And I thought I’m so far from home.
What do I do now?
What happens when the light fades and it’s just me in the darkness?

    Darkness is only an illusion.

    Only the light is real.

The light is always there inside you, even when you seem to be in the darkness.

    That light never fades.

It is there for all of us.

    Good luck.

  2. Hi,

Thanks for commenting. And you are right the light is inside of me. I do think when the darkness comes your light may dim but it can still be seen. You are right about darkness being an illusion. Have you heard the acronym for f.e.a.r.(false evidence appearing real) because that is an illusion. Fear is only what you make up in your mind. Good luck to you too.
