Florida A&M’s Black History Month Convocation was February 14. The guest speaker
was Dr. Maulana Karenga, professor of Africana Studies and creator of Kwanzaa. He
encouraged the African-American community to stand up and speak out.
1,000 people includes students, faculty and retirees attended the convocation.
Attendees agreed with Dr. Karenga on the African-American community not having a
voice.
